Had some electrical issues.
Came to the car to find it was completely dead… Battery was completely flat and had sprayed some acid which had eaten away at vacuum pipes…
Got a replacemebt battery from Silver Street, and on driving the car some of time it would charge (14V), and then it would drop to 11V for a while. Alternator. Obviously playing up.
Ordered a new alternator from German Swedish and French Car Parts which cost £143.35, with a refund of £35.25 for sending the old alternator back.
Silver Street fitted the alternator which took a bit of work, and had a new drive belt fitted at the same time.
Alternator doesn’t charge as high as before, and according to the in-dash gauge drops s low as 13.6 sometimes, but otherwise all seems fine
